Happy St. Patrick's Day, or Bless You James Dyson!

I have to admit I LOVE a good vacuum.

And so on this fine St. Paddy’s Day morning when I woke to find a brand spanking new yellow DC14 I was elated.

Yes, elated to say the very least.

DC14 is the technical name of the streamlined vacuum of my dreams that James Dyson and his research team of dirt sucking gurus (I say that in the most affectionate way) invented to make vacuuming a literal pleasure.

I don’t remember kissing a blarney stone but my leprechauns must be awful lucky!

Weighing in at a slim 18 pounds, this 44.86 high inch beauty packs a serious pucker. On its maiden voyage through the family room it sucked up an assortment of yuck my discriminating eye didn't detect when I vacuumed yesterday. I love how I can see the dirt accumulate in the transparent 0.71 gallon bin! This wonder of dirt removing ingenuity has and 35 foot cord--which means I only have to unplug and replug a couple of times to do the whole house!

Three lovely on board tools get into tight corners, and pick up chunks of mud (whoever it was that left those chunks on the rug in the living room is in big trouble) as well as whisk away dust from delicate collectibles. While I was doing the kitchen I made a pass across the counter where a couple of breakfast crumbs were still hanging out and accidentally sucked up a butter wrapper left over from the St. Patrick's Day pancakes my son brought me from the new McDonalds' in town. Thanks, Josh, for the pancakes--I didn't even mind picking up your shoes by the front door because it meant I got to vacuum under them!

Ineed, the power of the DC14 is no match for anything my family dishes out: mud chunks, hay and llama wool from the pasture, popcorn (yeah, the Dyson and I found it under the couch), that old piece of pepperoni by the dishwasher, Husky fur, and duck feathers!

With my new Dyson I am the dirt master. Bwaaa-hah-hah-haaaaah!!

Oh, and happy St. Patrick's Day!
